one of my girls (hopefully ) is pregnant approx 4 weeks.I started raw feeding  just before mating her.I give her raw from rawtogo.she has green tripe ,meaty mince ,venison ,beef and heart ,oily fish ,and twice a week a chicken neck or wing.Is this all ok to feed whilst pregnant and once she is 5 weeks do i just add more to her meals.Any advice would be grateful as i have always fed puppy kibble when my girls were in whelp but decided raw was the way forward

Hi Tonia, I have just had a couple of litters myself this year, I feed raw food only to my girls very much as you are doing with yours. I have had some wonderfully strong puppies and the mums had loads of milk too, the puppies were also weaned straight onto assorted minced fresh meats ( it's so natural! ). They have now all left home looking really good and healthy (no big bloated tummies!) with bright eyes and loads of puppy energy.
Use your common sence with feeding mum and increase her food as and when needed either with extra raw food/ chicken necks or carcuses, the bones will give her some extra calcium or some mixer/complete, which ever suites you best. Ahh thank you.im a bit scared of feeding pups the raw so i was going to use naturediet as i thought it would be easier for new owners to use .

Straight onto minced raw will be fine and if mum has plenty of milk you will not need to give any yourself! :)

All mine are raw fed but remember not eveyone feels the same and some won't, for whatever reason, want to raw feed their puppy. Before weaning pups I ask what the new owners' preference would be and then I weaned all pups on a mixture of kibble, raw and naturediet so that they each would be used to whatever they ended up being fed on.
In fact on her 3 litters she totally went off raw in the last couple of weeks but really enjoyed dry puppy kibble, along with tinned fish, fresh fish, eggs or whatever else she fancied. Once the litters were born and a few days old she went back on raw :) She also had smaller meals throughout the day rather than two large ones as she got more heavily pregnant, maybe because she felt bloated?
