Has anybody any tips to treat elbow hygroma in a 8 month old rhodesian ridgeback.Iv bought every mattress and bed i could get my hands on but to no avail.My vet advises against draining and surgery due to complications caused by infection.Any help is greatly appriciated.

I've no personal experience, but have come accross some things on-line, a support that is worn over the area.

They look awful but the ones I have come accross have eventually gone down by themselves with no treatment.

One of ours had one when she was a youngster. We did nothing and it gradually disappeared. It took a few months if I remember rightly. Like you, our vet advised against surgery. He thought these things often settle by themselves.
