I used to have a pedigree print thingy that I could type into my laptop and print out the pedigree. My laptop died :( But I need pedigree's done and can't rmember where I got the program(it's been years!). Can anyone help? I like to have a copy for new owners.
Sorry ! Can't advise. I always buy a 5 generation pedigree from the KC when I register puppies. £8 well spent IMO

I couldn't live without Breeders Assistant. Not cheap to buy but I have everything inside it. Prints out pedigrees, with photos, at one click, have all my owners' contact details inside it, all microchip numbers etc etc. I use it pretty much on a daily basis.

Yes, I know you can buy when registering but I prefer the personal ones that I make myself. I used to put photos of mum and dad with their pedigree names/details underneath and my details all included then on the inside, I would personally write out the pedigree. I love that bit. Same as the info sheet and the puppy pack, it's like a rite of passage! It wouldn't be the same if I bought it in. And anyway, if new owners want to buy the pedgiree from KC, they still get the option but I don't know many that bother when the pedigree sheet looks so good.
And I know if I have all my details on there too, it's harder to loose.
I'll have a wee google but I had a great program(don't think it was BA) which I had downloaded. I was able to add stuff front and back as well as the pedigree but I'm sure I never paid that price. But then again, it was probably 20-25 years ago when I got my first PC!!

I do mine in Microsoft word. A4 size with table for pedigree and then on second sheet format front and rear cover using text boxes and imported photos. Print double sided so you form a booklet.

Where do you get your table for the pedigree? I can copy/scan an old back of a pedigree with my affix and such on but it's a lot of hassle to copy the other side as it's completely filled in. I would spend longer deleting all the names!
Mines companion xp by staffdata. I seemed to have dumbened a little since leaving educatation so it took ky a while to figure it out. I still get stuck sometimes

Just put it in myself - select 5 columns and 2 lines. Once table in pace select each columen and split into required divisions spaced evenly. So 2nd column each line divided into 2 to make four lines etc and so on. Adjust type size to enter names and click and drag column widths to fit whole pedigree on one side A4

I have Breedmate, which does all the things you say... I have had this for about 15 years and have upgraded over time. Just google Breedmate.

I have a program called Kintraks
http://www.kintraks.com/ really good program and very reasonably priced too, you gradually build up your own database etc. print pedigrees with pictures, add all the important things like health tests of dogs in pedigree. Wouldn't be without mine
