Hi all just wondered if anyone has encountered your dog swallowing chicken neck and collapsing because she hadnt chewed it.My dog has been on raw food for a while and although i am pleased she does gulp the food down and at least three times ive had to remove food from her as she has fell on the floor with the food stuck in her throat, today i gave her a chicken neck and she did it again is this normal shall i just never give her necks or wings again

I'd get her checked for laryngeal paralysis as it can cause symptoms like this with any type of food.

I agree I would get her checked. Mine very occasionallly gulp their food too fast but it just comes up and they eat it again ( sorry that bit was yuckky)

i thought it was because she was rushing it ,will take her to vets for a check up

I have one dog that I dont feed necks to because he just swallows so make sure he always get something bigger like turkey or duck necks instead.
