we are off to Rhodes on Saturday just read somewhere that you cannot take co-codamol tablets there??? I am on tramadol atm and am a bit concerned whether they are banned too.
Anyone know where I can find out what is allowed in foreign countries...or whether what I read is correct.

I noticed a list once in my GP, as I don't holiday abroad I didn't really digest the info, your GP may be able to help.

Is it because the codiene part of the Co Codamol is an opiate?

From what I can understand any drugs[including controlled CDA's] are allowed up to 15days worth after that you need a special licence, no mention of codeine being added to the CDA list bar for the injection version which has been there for decades.

For those taking CDA's with them there is a list of the maximum amount you are allowed to carry, some look generous others less so.

Apart form my medication I always take a prescription with me to prove the medication has been given to me by a doctor. Would doubt you would have a problem in the EU have purchased both codeine and tramadol in the EU.

That's a thought - what if you were going for longer than 15 days and it was one of those meds with that limit? Would you have to see a doctor over there, or if the NHS allowed, take an unfilled prescription with you and try to get it dispensed over there (paying for the meds too I would imagine)?
