My pup arrived on Pedigree Puppy and it was never my intention to stay on it.
Now pup is getting increasingly fussy about this food and the only meal pup gets excited about is the scrambled egg which will have to stop soon as pup is coming up to 12 weeks.
So my question is, what are the meat and other content percentages that I should I be looking for in a wet food, and what contents should I be looking to avoid ?
I am going to PAH tomorrow so can have a good look then.
Thanks in advance.

Many cans only contain ridiculous amounts of meat like 4 or 8 % believe it or not. Pedigree is actually one of the better ones with 49 %. Nature Diet has around 70 % and other good foods are Natures Menu, Forthglade, Applaws etc. Personally I look at the meat content first and if it isn't good enough (I'd definitely not want anything less than Pedigree's 49 %, but preferably more like 60 or 70 %) then I dismiss it instantly.
I'd also want the meat source to be named - if your dog develops an allergy then you need to know what he's been eating.
Although Pedigree says 45% minimum meat, it says "4% minimum beef" so the rest of it could be anything - whatever's cheapest at the time.
I was given a little tray of PAH chicken and rice puppy, it contains 8% protein, 7% oil and fat, and 81% moisture.
I assume that the moisture would be water ?!

Yes; vital for digestion. :-)
I would go with the better wet foods, Nature diet, Natures menu or Naures Harvest, they all have a good meat content and ingredients are clearly labelled.
Pup is now enjoying Nature's Harvest. Thanks.
