Can anyone remember how to make "proper"wax polish for wooden furniture? My ex used to make it from beeswax, and maybe linseed oil or turps(but Im damned if I ll ask HIM!)for antique stuff. Not that Ive any antiques!I love the smell "proper"polish(not spray)leaves behind,on the rare occasions I can find any,and I wondered if it might be cheaper to make my own! Thanks in advance!

Do you have a farmer's market near you? Local beekeepers often have stalls there and you might be able to get beeswax, if not their own home-made polish.

thats a good idea-although I cant get there myself,I know someone who goes regularly and Im sure she would have a look for me(we meet at dog class)So if my attempts at brewing some up fails,I can try that.Ive just ordered the ingredients from ebay, and if it comes out usable I will be delighted! Thankyou!
