I teach a group of 3-16 year old dance and drama and one of the things they wanted to do was do a Glee style show. They picked their own names and whether they were geeks, cheerleaders, jocks etc and now we have started the story.

We start with the cheerleaders dancing and falling half way through their routine and the head cheerleader (the coach) tells them all they are out of the club and will have to reaudition. The next scene is the auditions in which we see the geeks fall over and get silly stringed by the jocks and we also have the little ones do a routine but not get in.

From there the jocks steal the cheerleaders CD and are caught burning it....but were not sure where the story goes from there.

We thought maybe the geeks could enter the regional cheerleading finals and beat the real cheerleaders but has anyone got any ideas I could take back to the group?

What about something where the geeks overcome to show that being a geek is actually really cool....like the tables get turned and at the end the geeks are the heroes.

How about as the jocks have stolen the cheerleaders CD that the geeks (who don't like the jocks as they are bullied by them) help the cheerleaders to write the best music and choreograph the best dance moves, ousting the jocks who think they are winning with the CD they have stolen.

If you have time you could also have a couple of the cheerleaders falling for a couple of the geeks, throwing their jock boyfriends to the curb.

All a bit high school musical but when you have just 3 groups to make a story from not a lot of choice. :-D

Thats a great idea Carrington, I should maybe add I only have 3 boys (1 of them is 5! - the other 2 are 15) so it makes it even harder. I like the idea of them working together. The head coach is starting to be a bi*ch so we could maybe have the geeks and rejected cheers form an alliance together?
