Wouldn't that be a good idea? Who here doesn't want to see gorgeous dog photos, after all! :D

You had better ask Admin but I think there is a reason why not.  File space or somesuch.

Yes, it's one of the few problems with this site. I daresay there's an admin / cost / space reason. But on my American cocker forum half the fun is looking at all the cute doggy pics!

Photos do take up a good deal of bandwidth space which means that more has to be bought and that is expensive, you also need to make sure that people are not using someone else's copyright, does happen believe me, and that can be difficult because until the complaint lands on you desk, you are unaware that it is a stolen image. It can also make a site slow to load pages and then we would all be moaning, would probable mean keeping them to one section and that would no doubt cause people to try to load them elsewhere and be forever asking why they can't.

You can always load a photo on to a site like Photobucket, Flicka or Jalbum and put the link in your profile.

Breeders and owners pay a fee to hold Advanced Membership with us on the main Champdogs site. Part of the advanced membership package is the ability to add photographs. We must protect the interests of our advanced membership and this is why photographs can not be added to the forum. The exception to this rule is the Rainbow Bridge forum.
