My dog in the morning sometimes dosen't want his breakfast and his stomach gurgles. He will sometimes eat later after going out. Any suggestions?

One of mine was like that. I found a little tinned Chappie, or plain rice, or a small piece of bread smeared with peanut butter would be enough in his tummy to stop the gurgles, and then he'd feel more like eating a little bit later. If they miss the occasional mean it won't do any harm - they usually know best!

He won't eat anything when he is like that.

I suppose it depends on the dog and what is normal for him/her. My BT bitch will quite often turn her nose up at a meal, if however, my labrador ever did this, i'd be on my way to the vets pronto and probably instruct OH to start digging her grave as would be drastically wrong (slight exageration, but i would be on my way to the vets with her straight away).

Hi,

I have one who is fussy with breakfast. She had eating issues as a pup although now she is 4 she eats so much better. A few months ago I couldn't fill her up but then this past month she has skipped breakfast on a few mornings. She is happy to eat treats and her evening meal though so I'm not concerned.

As others have said, missing a meal occasionally won't hurt.
