Brooke has given me a fright by having a lump on her lip. Thank goodness the vet has dianosed a papilloma and not any type of malignancy phew !! For a few hours I was thinking here we go again having previously had experience of tumours and flatties
We have decided to have it removed ( and biopsy) as being about the size of a marble and on edge of her lip she is sure to bite it or catch when playing> I know there is arick of it spreading when removed but there is a risk of that any way. the vet has also prescribe azimythcin (sp) yes an antibiotic but strangely has seen to work on these viruses.
has anyone any experience of papillomas in dogs particlarly on the lips/mouth ?
