Topic Other Boards / Foo / Search option at top of page

Ive been a member on here for years but one thing Ive always wondered is that the search option at the top of the page automatically goes to 180 days.  Therefore if what you are looking for is further back than that, it cant find it.  Is there anything I can put in that box so that it will look at everything? Ive tried putting in 500 but thats only just over a year?

Dunce hat on lol

Thank you

This has annoyed me in the past too. I assume The servers used for champdogsforum don't have enough processing memory to cope with searching the whole archive, so it's had the 180 day limit applied.

You can just use google to search the whole archive - if you type your search word and champdogsforum into the google search box, google will give some of the forum results, then click the link that says 'more from champdogsforum' . It should give you all the relevant results without a time limit.

Alternatively just scroll to the bottom of the page and type what you want to search for in the google box at the bottom of the page :) :)

Oh yeah! I've never noticed it there as always use the google search box at the top right of my browser.
