I know there is probably  a simple answer to this, the ovulation strips I have are blue tipped and when they turn brown are meant to indicate ovulation but the blue tip and red blood are making a brownish colour anyway, will I know the difference?
Also you are supposed to leave them in 10 seconds, my girl is dismayed at this and I am lucky to keep it in 2 seconds, I have cut the corners as advised on here but she seems super sensitive when in season it is hard enough to trim the hair round there.

hi sounds like the same ones i used i couldnt tell the difference either, blood staining on the blue tip, in the end i gave up and mated my girl day 12,13,14, and she is now 6 weeks pregnant with 3-4 pups.
when i got her scanned said to the lady that i thought it went slightly brown but not 100% sure and she said if i thought it was it must have been right for her to catch.
how many days is she,
they do say to wipe her a bit first
good luck

she is on day 7, I am trying these as on her last season I tested with Idexx and because her season was so long she needed 4 tests, I don't want to put her through that again so was hoping to blood test nearer ovulation time, good idea about wiping first that may help.
