Can I ask how many breed clubs/breeders are working with different research groups for various diseases around the world?

I have an interest in Norwegian Elkhounds so questioned various club members at Chair at Crufts, lovely helpful people very interested in the health of their breed but weren't aware of the Helsinki Uni all breeds epilepsy research being done.  Now we had the research assistant over in 2010 at our club Champ show collecting samples from dogs entered and leaving kits with breeders for dogs at home, this has lead to an ongoing supply of samples from all breeders with their new litters.

As you can see it got me thinking how many other clubs/breeders are doing the same with various teams that others might be interested in participating with.  Would be interesting to swap information about teams that are working on different research that may have a cross over value for various breeds.

That is exactly my thinking, we need to think less parochially re countries and breeds.

Would appear others don't agree lol.

Helsinki is who I've passed to Norwegian Elkhounds re epilpesy research they're doing for all breeds regardless of incidence of disease.
