Does anyone know of ringcraft classes that are not on a Monday night?  We do obedience on Mondays but could do with some ringcraft classes for our youngster.  Many thanks.

Hi
The two nearest ringcraft are Backwell and Burnham on Sea, both on a Monday night. I think the only other one within driving distance is Bridgwater on a Thursday night. I don't know any contact details but can pass your number to a friend who's on the committee if you're interested (you can pm me if you want).

Wiveliscombe Ringcraft is on Tuesday and quite well regarded but it's an hour from WSM

Backwell is very good but on Mondays

Bridgwater DCS run excellent shows twice a year so I'd imagine their RC is pretty good too.  Their class is on Thursday and only 35 mins from you :)

Thank you very much for your help.  I will try and contact the Bridgwater one as that seems the best day for us and they do look very good.  As she is entered into their show on the 25th I thought I had better get some help.  It will be her first show and she is a lovely little girl but sadly her handlers are not the best.lol

Thanks again.

You don't need to book, or even call first.  You can just turn up on the night :)  If you prefer, you could attend without your dog first just to get a feel for what they do.

Incidentally who do you do your obedience with and are you working toward the KC Good Citizens training?  I can highly recommend Little Orchard (they train at Wick St Lawrence), I've used them for two dogs - one right through to Gold - at the same time as doing Ringcraft at Backwell.

That may be a better idea actually to go and see what it's all about first.

We train at Woodspring DTC.  Have done for years.  I have one working towards her silver at the moment and the pup is doing her puppy course.  I like it there as they don't kick you out the door once you have done all your awards like some training clubs.  You can stay on and actually compete in competitions as part of the club :-)
