Thought I'd stick a link up here, not at all sure if this is allowed but my friend went to take some 'fun' pics and she was so taken with a few of the dogs she photographed she'd like to offer the owners a free digital copy of the photo if they wanted http://malbyphotography.co.uk/blog/?p=1796

Its a long shot as there must have been thousands of people there but if you spot yourself, drop her an email (or pm me) (there are only a few pics!).

This is the one thing I loath about showing, photographers taking pics without asking first, had it done to use with one of our dogs being used for a sticker, nothing we could do about it meanwhile photographer and a company made an absolute fortune out of OUR DOG.  I'm afraid I catch anyone taking any and they get the sharp edge of my tongue, ask first be polite about it!

Schip I would never use the photo of someone's dog if I knew to whom it belonged but if you are wanting natural shots it is best not to ask first as particularly if the dog is a show dog you will find it difficult to take a natural shot once the owner knows you are taking it. However that said this appears to be a professional photographer and there are very strict rules at Crufts about the taking of photos unless they are general shot and I think I am correct in saying that professionals need a permit, mind you this photographer may have a permit I don't know.

Just to clarify, whilst Penel is a professional photographer, these photos are NOT taken to sell and were taken for her own enjoyment/improvement of her skills as a photographer. I have known her a very long time and there's no way she would take pictures if people asked her not to.
