my girl is 59 days pregnant , and the first time in her life she's been eating her own poo, she's on 4 meals aday so i can't see her been hungry , any idea why she would start doing this now, thanks

The only time I've ever had dogs eat their own poo is when they are looking for protein or when the food is tracking through their body a bit too quickly, either because they are being fed too much at once, or I've changed their food to one with more cereal. Perhaps her stomach is needing more smaller meals, what food is she on?

she'll be tidying up after babies soon hopefully , maybe the maternal hormones kicking in ...just pick up  quietly and calmly after her ...I do with all my dogs anyway ...
