An acquaintance desperate to re-home a pure white blue eyed girl. Who's only fault is being a Husky. He re homed her from a family member who was unable to cope. Now he is finding hard to cope. She clearly needs a good 4 hour jaunt a day, but is spending that in a crate as she has totally destroyed the house.

In the first instance the owner should get in touch with the dog's breeder ( A reputable KC or SH Breed club member will re home their own or at least assist)

If the dog is registered then the breed club rescues can help:
Siberian Husky Club GB - Welfare scheme

For Scotland Scottish Siberian Husky Club welfare advice is given by Linda Christie contact: Siberinda@hotmail.co.uk or tel:07967 089250

If the dog is a 'Husky type' or un registered then try the lovely Terry and Mick of Dreamcatcher Siberians here:
Siberian Husky Welfare

Please advice your acquaintance to ensure the appriopriate rescue is found, there are far too many teenage Siberians being passed from one unsuitable home to another :-(

Best wishes for them and this poor girl, and let us know what happens won't you :-)

I will let you know. It has taken a few months for him to accept that this is an exceptional breed who needs exceptional owners. Unfortunately, he is not one of these. He will be leaving this dog for around 12 hours a day in a crate due to a new job.
