I have the following slip lead:

http://www.showleads.co.uk/lead_details.asp?name=Leather%20Slip%20Lead

It's great on my male dog but am wary of using it on my female incase she can actually snap it/break through it. She tends to pull/barge if she wants to. I showed her in it once and she did pull but it reminded ok but I'm nervous of trying it again at Crufts and her breaking free....

Anyway, can anyone advise a strong alternative that I can get before Crufts! :O

Can she be shown in something LIKE this with a thin leather lead? I have seen people using half checks with hounds before. It's not ideal but it's an 'in case' measure. I usually walk her with a martingale collar so it's quite a difference to go to a thin sliplead..

Also looked at this, only hope the leather is strong and not sure they'll deliver before we leave for Crufts or that I'd be remotely able to not stress out if I go to Crufts on the Saturdfay looking for a lead!

Actually, this looks perfect.

Actually I am very wary of chains. I have seen a dog snap one at a show.

I prefer leather or better still  a 1/2  inch tape slip lead (not rope), they are really strong. Not seen any for a bit though.

I thought the Hessonite ones had really strong wire in them to prevent them from snapping? I have one of theirs for my FCR and im really happy with it.

Your much better buying from a show trade stand like Luxway canine supplies: http://www.luxwaycanine.co.uk/leads/fabric/nylon Code: K04 might do the trick

On the other hand Dajan http://www.dajan.co.uk/NylonCollars.html do slip collars that are all webbing with no chain.  Best to rign them with an order as their web ordering system was not working properly a while back.
