Hi there,

Does anyone have the contact details for either (or both) of the above?

Have you treid to google the affixs to see if Gerry Robertson or Barbara Hargreaves have websites?

I have addresses and phone numbers for both but from several years ago, if anyone has a recent hound catalogue perhaps they would be better helping in case either lot have moved :-) ?

Contacting the breed club and asking them to pass on yoru details is always a good bet.

Have you contacted one of the other Greyhound breeders direct to see if they can help you?

Yes and no luck currently. Must join the Breed club today actually. I have been in touch with one breeder who is expecting a litter at a time that suits me fine (a fairly long time away) but I have not heard back from them again. Hopefully they just take a while to get through emails or something as I am very interested. I am hoping that it being my first 'real show dog won't put a breeder off from selling to me though as I have lots and lots of greyhound experience - just of the racing kind.

The Greyhound breeders I have met have been lovely, it's a numerically small breed in the show world so most people know each other well.

This does sometimes mean when your new you feel like your butting into a tight circle, but most should be eager to welcome a keen newcomer, especially if they are the right (lower) side of 50, as without such people breeds can't flourish and continue.

Try to be brave and introduce yourself to your neighbours at Crufts and they will hopefully introduce you to the rest :)

I was in email contact with a German kennel who will have a dog at Crufts so I will be meeting them there :) The breeder I have in mind for the dog I want will probably be there also though if I don't receive a further reply to my emails I wll presume he doesn't want to sell me a dog and keep away! Mind you, he emailed me on Friday and the litter is not due for a long time so who knows yet :)
