Hi,

I have a soon to be 3yr old Jack Russell cross, he is a resuce and is very good with his training but is in need of socializing. My problem is that I have been trying to find a social group of some kind that meet up to walk their dogs, and I am really struggling to come up with anything! I have come across one that was in Orpingtion but the group was breed specific. He has somewhat of a dominant personailty and really does need the socializing, so if anyone has any advice or if anyone knows of any groups please let me know.

Do you have a training class near you?  It might be worth asking them

I have one near me (Somerset) which, in addition to their (APDT) classes has a weekend socialisation class in a field and they use a range of trusted stooge dogs to help clients.  Even if you can't find one immediately you could sign up to some training classes and hopefully get some additional support or find some doggy pals to walk him with before or after class.
