Does anyone know once defrosted how long can you keep it in the fridge and use it for? It doesnt say anything about it on the packets.

I treat the dogs raw food the same as I treat human raw meat.

I only get out what I use for the next day but I over ordered last week so had some out in the fridge for 3 days, all was fine. I would treat as meat for human consumption.

Have had it thawed and in fridge for 3 days or so, and not noticed any smell.

On the other hand I have often bought chicken wings from well known supermarkets and after 2 days they have had a noticeable whiff! [Noticed in all cases these were ones produced outside the UK, so read your labels].

While dogs are well equipped to handle carrion and going-over meat, I was not pleased to find human quality chicken wings lasting less well than pet food!

Me too re the chicken wings. The first time it happened I thought maybe I had turned the thermostat low, now if it happens I take them back to the well known supermarket I buy from and they replace them.

Thanks everyone, a pack has been lasting about 3-4days. I thougt i would be good to ask on here to make sure it was ok to keep it for a few days.

Don't forget that you can also re freeze pet mince - a handy option if you can't use it all within a few days :)

realy!? i did not know that, thought it would give them food poisning. (i know noting about food lol cant cook to save my life)

Like the others have said I treat it like normal meat, 4 days is the longest I've left a block for and thats just down to using something else, a block doesn't normally last a day with my Boxer piglets about! lol :)
