Topic Dog Boards / Health / Itchy Ear

Argh, I have a dog with a very itchy ear, with no reason apparent to either myself or to the vet. No muck (apart from now a few scratches), no smell, no mites apparent. She has been on Canaural ear drops since Saturday, and it has definitely improved but not right by a long way.

Any ideas? I have some Thornit at home and am tempted to give that a go, given that vet can't see anything, but am a bit at a loss really.

Could it be an allergy, have you changed the diet or what washing/cleaning products you use?

I don't think it is an allergy - no changes to anything and really just the one ear, and I would guess an allergy would get both (or can't think of a reason it wouldn't).

Have also considered whether it might to a degree be habit now, and wondered about Piriton or similar?
