I am awaiting my chinese crested puppy which I will be getting in 3 weeks.I need to know what vaccinations are required for this particular breed.
I have read so much that it is all getting confusing.
some articles are saying 8,12,19weeks and then rabies
some are saying 8,12 weeks CD,CPV only and not combined
what do you say?

Ask your breeder what they would suggest, and phone the breed club secretary and ask them. When you have that info. ring around 2 or 3 vets and ask them. The time the vaccination is done depends on what is used and when the pup has the first one but if there is a breed persific (spelling) need then the people in the breed are the ones to ask. Like most things to do with dogs, in fact most things, you will get different info. from different people so get a few ideas and then ask the vets as in the end it is they who have to take the risk. If most people tell you that the breed has special needs then tell the vet when you ring as the person on the desk will just tell you what they tell everone who enquires. Jackie

Adding to what Jackie has said it might be worth asking your breeder if they can recommend a vet close to you who has experience with the breed.
