Hi. past 2 days Lacey has been acting weird when its breakfast/dinner time. usually when I am preparing her food she is at my heels waiting and watching. Lately she has not been. She will be sat on the sofa waching me. When I call her, she runs and jumps on the other sofa. When I call again she runs and jumps back onto the other one. And so on. (weird). Untill I come in and guide her buy the collar towards the kitchen, then she runs in and wolfs down her food ????? Has something upset her or scared her in there i am woundering, or could it just be she is playing me up and having fun with me ???

As I was saying in a post before, other thingsseems to be alot better at the mo, so maybe she is just finding other ways to play me up now to entertain herself? Im not sure. What do you guys think?? I can think of anything that has happened for her to be scared to go in the kitchen, and when its not feeding time she goes in and out of there fine.

Could be she no longer really needs a breakfast and so uses it as an opportunity for a game with you rather than thinking stomach first???

Yes maybe so, she does seem like she is not really hungry anymore. I was told a pup needs more food than stated on the guidlines, so maybe cut her food down now to what it states she should be on for her age/weight?? and one meal a day?

I personally feed once a day, others prefer to feed twice for life.  I wouldn't be cutting down the daily amount unless she seems to be getting fat though.

The guidelines on packets etc are often way out, and the amounts needed entirely personal to the dog.

I have all the same breed and sex.  My current 11 1/2 month old (just dropped to one feed a day) eats nearly twice the amount of her grandmother, 2/3rds that of her mother, and a bit more than her Aunt and Great Grandmother.

I do usually keep to two meals to around a year old
