Hi I have been looking into raw diets and been looking on landwoods website. Have emailed then and tried ringing but no look yet. Im a bit confused at the prices. Here is the link http://www.landywoods.co.uk/price_list.html
Does this mean the price given next to each one is just for the 454g or is it for 454g x 20 ???? I dont get the times 20 bit haha :)

they sell them in certain sized lots. the price is for 20 of the lb packs. so tripe comes in 454g packs, sold in multiples of 20 for £8.40 so 42p lb

They only deliver every 2 weeks.

Just as an aside, because of how their meat is packed, you will need to allow extra space in your freezer as it doesn't fit in nice and neatly, as the rectangular blocks of Prize Choice or Albion meats do. I made the mistake when I first ordered from them and ended up with a fair few packs that I couldn't fit in.

How do Alibions prices compare to Landywood?

Albion are a bit more expensive than Landywoods, but if I remember rightly they are cheaper than Prize Choice. I feed Natural Instinct now so haven't ordered from either Albion or Landywoods for quite some time.

I am very pleased with Albion so far - nothing to fault their meats. The minimum order can be a bit of a stretch but if you have someone to split the order with as I do, it's not so bad. We were expecting a giant mountain of meat to arrive the first time and were quite nervous, but it went easily into a small slimline chest freezer (the smallest you can get bar table-top); a larder front-opening one, and the surplus was taken up by a shelf or two in a normal sized domestic fridge-freezer.

It all packs in very neatly too as the meat blocks are regular sized and same size as the Prize Choice minces. The bags of chicken necks and wings, also chunky tripe & liver, are harder to fit in as they are more irregular in shape but we still managed to squeeze them in somehow and under-ordered those the first time.

The chicken necks are invaluable as an easy source of bone & meat, simple and quick to defrost. I prefer them to wings, as they are lower in fat. I love the chunky tripe as it is proper pieces of green tripe - thaws out faster than the minces if you've forgotten to to defrost any, and the dogs seem to get more excited over it.

I am looking to make my first order. They dont deliver to my area till next week which gives me some time to prepare and to go to the pet shot to buy a few (over expensive) mince blocks to make sure she takes to it first. Taking that she does can someone PLEEEEEASE go onto landywoods website and give me a rough idea of what I will need ?? Min order and cheap as poss, for a approx 30kg 9month old pup ?? Ie what meat is best to get and how much and same with bone ect shall i just buy one lot of meat and a bag of the chunky stuff and a bag of chicken necks ??? Im all confused and dont want to mess up and over order one thing and underorder another :(

It's almost impossible for others to advise on what to order. Your dog may not like the Landywoods chicken for instance (some of my dogs won't touch it), or may not tolerate beef. Until you are sure what your dog can and can't eat, I'd go slowly and stick with the "expensive" pet shop blocks/supermarket minces and bones etc until you are sure you can order a larger amount.

You could always try the Natural Instinct starter pack (http://www.naturalinstinct.com/products/Special-Offer-Starter-Box.html) which includes 3 different varieties (beef, turkey and chicken) and all are balanced so you wouldn't need to worry about balancing meals.
