Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / i WANT TO SWITCH TO RAW

hi every1. I had a prob in the past with my girl being fussy, and wasted ALOT of money running around trying to get her to eat. Then i tried her on weinwrights wet food, and have not had a problem for about 3months, not one prob at all. Now all off a sudden she is refusing to eat again. GRRRRRRRRR. she will have about 3 bites and then thats it :( It could be that she is abit under the weather but she seems fine in her self and dont think it is that as she is still begging for food (more than usual as she is more hungry than usual) and would thought she would have no interest in food at all if she was poorly. And also could be tht there was a prob with the food, I have just used up the last of it and so will go and buy some more of it (just a little bit) to see if there is a change but if not I want to switch her to raw to see if this never happens again, becasue i cant go through all that i went through last time with it, it was torture and torture on my pockets haha. I have been to the pet shop and i dont want to buy it from there as it works out more expensive than any dog food, and my local butchers can not help much, so has any1 got any websites they could recommend that deliver in west midlands area ???

I am sure you won't regret it - it's a nice way to feed.

Landywoods is good.

Mercury - I don't know anything about them - but I think they are based in the Midlands.

Also value chicken wings and other poorer quality meats from cheap supermarkets are excellent value (I just bag up a couple of wings and freeze them - then when I give her breakfast I take the next one out of the freezer to defrost).

Good luck

Albion are based in the west midlands area. I've found them reliable and we have a delivery once a fortnight. Not sure how much freezer space you have?

TPMS are excellent and I really rate their food and their customer service.  The delivery man is very friendly and perfectly willing to put the stuff in your freezer if you're not there

TPMS are in Redditch

Hi I'm from Birmingham and I have a good butcher who helps me out! Make sure you tell them what your doing and say you will be in every week and they should help you out!! If you previously got your meat from the supermarket you will realise its actually cheaper from the butcher :)!! I get a kilo of beef for 4.69 you pay £4 for 500g in asda!! I buy 3lamb hearts about a pound to bulk the beef out and makes it go further :)!!

Also have a look in Iceland I think they do a bag of chicken thighs for really cheap! I don't have a chest freezer just a normal one and the dogs draw is the bottom one haha!!

My girl also was on waitwrights and she just to try and hide her bowl by pushing it around with her nose and pushing a towel or her bed on it!! Strange! Never ever had that with raw !! Every meal is gone there and then!! Once you go raw you will never go back!!
