Hi there, just wanted some advice on regurgitating.
Is it normal for dogs to regurgitate their food now and again?
I was away for a while last Saturday and when i got home one of the dogs had regurgitated her food from 10 hours before. I fed her and she ate it and was fine but about 10 minutes after eating she was doing a lot of choking but then had a drink and stopped. There's been a litte choke here and there since but due to excitement of pulling on lead.
Tonight i fed her then about 30/45 minutes later she regurgitated her food. She does seem perfectly happy in herself and did want to eat again.
Any advice please.

Perhaps your just feeding her too much or she's bolting her food.

Regurgitation in canines is normal, it is the way they feed their young. As long as it is not too often then I would not worry I find that a large piece of food such as a lump of apple or potato may cause the regurgitation of food the dog will then often enjoy it again.

One thing I have noticed it often happens when you have given a tablet which not only means that the dog it was intended for does not get it but you are rushing about trying to stop one of the others from having it.
