Hello All,
My beagle bitch whelped on 1.1.12 having 3 bitches and1 dog. All are well and content with a very proud mum.
It is day 7 today and have just done my daily weighing of the little ones. 3 are between 790 - 839g but the 4th (a bitch) is 666g.
Is it normal to have this kind of variation in weight?
Thank you.

Yes!
It is surprising at how often I have seen this. As long as your little one is not being knocked off the teat by siblings, don't worry.
Super, thank you. She is feeding as much as she wants, just not a porker like the other three.

I had this with my litter, but the littlest caught up just fine, she's still the littlest and always has been but she's all well and good and healthy, fed well, etc.

Absolutely normal. I had quite a variation between my smallest and largest. As long as they're all gaining well then don't worry. I actually went so far as to stop comparing actual weight with each other and calculated % gained and they were all pretty even. After seeing that I stressed much less. My bitches were all less than most of the boys, though we did have 1 'girly boy' who was much finer than the rest and took after his mum in body type. At 4 months he's still tied for smallest of the litter with one of his sisters, but nothing that concerns me, while the biggest is almost 2kg heavier than him. The other 5 are clustered in between the two ends of the weights (as they were through their baby stages)
