Posting this from t'other side of the pond!   Lucy, my daughter's EFSS has suddenly developed bloodshot eyes -they aren't weeping, but are rather blood-shot.    She hasn't been doing anything different to normal, apart from "helping" to take out the Christmas tree and has been sniffing around the area where trees have been felled and there is a fairly large area of woodchippings.

Is it likely that either of these could be the cause of this?    Help will be appreciated as Lucy does not do well with going to the vet's!  (she's been known to have an epiletic fit just driving into the carpark!!

Have known allergies to the sap in wood . Keep her away from that and you can get false Tears to wash the eyes  with

Margot pine needles can produce allergic reactions ( mike has an allergy if he touches the needles he comes out in a rash) so suggest a dose of anti histamines may help .

Christmas Trees are a common problem at this time of year but also have a look for seasonal air fresheners.  Consider the additional dust in the house caused by wrapping paper, and boxes being moved in and out of storage areas.

I have a dog with allergies to pollen but his, already compromised, system has an additional load at this time of year.  I now take the tree down earlier than usual and have a good blitz to clean and air the house which certainly helps him.  Use Piriton til then

Happy holidays!
