Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Raw food company in South West

Just thought I would let you all know that I have found a new raw food company in the south west.  website is http://www.raw2paw.co.uk/

I haven't used them yet but am planning to for my February order.

I saw these too but their delivery prices are a killer aren't they!  I order a minimum of 75kg mince each time (excluding bones, wings, neck and liver) and the delivery alone would cost me in excess of £30 ...

Do TPMS not deliver in your area?  They are at least 20p per lb cheaper for mince, cost £4.50 to deliver any weight and their driver puts the meat in the freezer for me :)

I might use raw2paw in emergencies though as I'm close enough to pick up smaller amounts and it's good to see they have whole rabbit which is something I can't otherwise get.  Is £6 for two the going price for pet food quality rabbit?

I had a look as well but they are much pricyer than Albion and I don't pay that for delivery. They deliver to me in South Somerset. I have about 80 - 100 kgs delivered for less than £3.00. The last order was 85 kgs of mixed minces/chick necks/carcasses/heart/liver and chunky beef worked out at about £1.50 per kg as an average over all the varieties.

I use Anglian Meat Products and they deliver to me in the South West, delivery is £4.25 and this is split between 3 of us as I order with 2 family members...so far so good and been buying from them for 4 years.

Staff - AMP is prize choice isn't it?  Personally I don't think much of the quality of the mince so only use in an emergency.

TPMS do deliver to my area but I can't order the amount they require for a minimum order.

I still rate landywoods for price and quality :)

Yes Landywoods for me too, minimum order £30 delivery about £5 and quality is brilliant, it has NOT been squeezed into square block shapes with all the nice juices squeezed out. Delivery to the door good value for money. West Sussex area.

dvn have you talked to TPMS about the amounts you CAN manage to order?  I'm assuming storage is the issue.  If you are willing to order on a regular basis I'd expect them to allow a little flexibility and they are so much cheaper than raw2paw it would be worth it for you I'm sure.  Alternatively have you checked if you have anyone nearby you could split an order with?

*minimum order with TPMS was £40, I don't know if it's still the same...

I will definitely use raw2paw in future.I like the fact that their minces are the same as rawtogo's and DAF's in that they contain 80% meat,10% bone and 10% offal,it takes some of the guesswork out for people like me who don't like to have to think too much(and also feed some kibble from time to time as well).

Yep it's prize choice, i've found the quality to be a lot better than a couple others that I have tried.  Saying that today I have found another local butcher who can provide the meat for 23p/per ib so i'll be switching to that now and I can also pick it up whenever I need so much better value.  I used TPMS once and never again...the meat that came out of the bags was awful, half the dogs wouldn't touch it.
