My bitch is in season this is now the third week and she keeps licking her bits but then keeps whimpering is this normal? As I don't remember her doing it the last time,she is so down I really feel sorry for her as it looks uncomfortable.

Please could someone tell me if this is normal as I'm worried it could be something else down there I have had a good look with a torch and can only see her bits swelled up
