Topic Dog Boards / General / Old type plastic baby bath

Does anyone know where to get an old type plastic baby bath, not the shaped modern type, to wash the dogs legs and underside in when we get back from the fields. Tried charity shops etc with no success.

Plenty at car boot sales.

Unfortunately they have been making them that sloped shape now for over 25 years, as I wanted and old fashioned one when my kids were small.

What about a large rectangular plant trough, the ones without predrilled holes.

If you scroll down the page there are some plastic baths here (http://www.hubintsecured.co.uk/acatalog/Dog_Baths_-_Anti_Slip_-_Booster_Bath_-_Towels.html).

What size are the dogs?

Thanks for that, just noticed there is a tool discount center selling Dog Bath/Water Troughs between 14.99 and 18.99.

depends on size of dog but large plastic boxes from pound shops or ikea may do

I bought a dog bath on Ebay, it is black plastic, I use it in the human bath to cut down on water used and during the hot days during the summer I fill it with cold water outside and put my feet in there and the dachsies jump in and out.

Only issue with those is that after some time, the plastic begins to get brittle especially if kept outside. And depending on whether it has integral handles or not, will be difficult to lift when full!

No Wickford Essex. Desperate to get something no too expensive as they are getting very dirty legs and under belly everyday.

What about doing a wanted ad in your local freecycle/gumtree.  It is one of these things that people will have lying around, if only you can get in contact with them.

Lakeland do an oven shelf  cleaning bath/tray which would be great for washing feet and legs on small to medium dogs - think it is about £10

Ooh that would do when I do mine outside in summer.
