Tomato ketchup - but you will then need to wash the ketchup off :) :)

I sympathise, having just had to bath Winnie after her latest head to toe effort. At least it was only her today, it's often Esme as well. If anyone has any answers I'd like to know too!

Cowboy Magic Greenspot Remover :-D Works a treat with fox poo, badger poo, sheep poo, cow poo and all manner of other, to me, unsavoury things, including dead ... well, whatever!! (Tested, well & truly :-O ) It's not cheap but you don't need much so lasts ages, even with daily rolling. Spray it on, rub it in and wipe of with a damp towel, no washing involved!

Where did you get yours from our local saddlery doesn't do it.

Such an important question, it was asked twice :-)

I bought mine online, the fabby satincollie recommended it about a year ago - I was farm sitting for a friend, over Christmas, the water went off for days :-( and there were cows in the field next door :-( My young lad just had to go next door to throw himself into the fresh cow poo!! Hence the urgency for something to clean him off without having to wash him ('cause I couldn't!). I thought it probably wouldn't work but I am very impressed, in fact with all their products - we also use the Detangler, and the Rosewater shampoo (but the latter is used very, very, very rarely!!).

I'm pretty sure I got mine from Hyperdrug, at the time they were the cheapest, but worth doing a google search, don't forget to check e-bay too. I'm lucky, my local equestrian shop does sell their range, and for similar prices as on the internet. Might be worth asking them if they could order it in, you may find the price comparable.

Oh dear - I just use warm water with a bit of soap in to get the dirt off - you sort of get used to it in the end.  In fact I can't stand the smell of fox poo undertone to smelly deodorants.

Why does tomato ketchup work?  It really does, been there - done that, but I'm not sure why :)

I usually just wash off all varieties of poo with Hibiscrub but if I need to shift the pong first, then TK does the trick.  I always have to do a full wash though as my youngest never applies it perfume style - he goes for the full camouflage application!!  Toad :)

Don't know it's right but was told because it contains vinegar & that vinegar will work just as well - have yet to try it!

A bottle of cheap value biological washing liquid is just as handy - rub a few drops into affected areas then rinse. The enzymes in it get rid of the smell far better than tomato ketchup.

I have been scatologically challenged the past year since taking on a poo-rolling obsessive rescued dog, really can't take her out anywhere without her finding something foul to dip her shoulder into. Lost count of the number of times I've needed to spot-clean her... and now my other dog too, who has seen her doing this and thinks it fun to copy *roll eyes*

It is most likely the vinegar in tom ketchup, vinegar is very good for cleaning a hell of a lot of things, windows, showers, kettles the list goes on! I always have some stashed under my sink!

Remembered this post as Lucas came back from a walk this afternoon covered in fox poo, the smell indescribable. A quick wash off with hibiscrub & then a good rub with white vinegar, it works he's asleep on the sofa & no smell!
