We found they were the best economically and that there can be no doubt that they know what they are covering, some other insurance companies did not seem to understand the risk and wanted to charge for things that were not needed and not cover things that were.

We too use the KC insurance and the premium didn't go up this year when we renewed it.

I am insured with Cliverton, for classes and one to ones and events. Had to have public liability up to 5 million as I rent Borough Council land and this is their requirement. Currently have a claim going through, they have been helpful so far, although it is only in the preliminary stages but will update to let you know how it goes.

I think mine cost about £140 in total.

think that the KC is reasonable. they are £100-00 cheaper than Vantage, I have been with Vantage for years but because of the increase, decided to check out others.

Yes, it was Vantage we moved from and on checking round could not better the KC.

I use Cliverton. It is about £140 pa.

KC premium in 2009 2010 and 2011 stayed at £89pa with £2.5 m public liability.
Don't know how long, Jo, you have been at Nowton but the requirement may have gone up after the big accident they had at the event in June.

I don't think the cart accident should affect the requirement, as it is an across the board figure, as in they use this for all the massive events in in other location like Abbey Gardens, such as the yearly firework display.

I had a stall the day of the accident, luckily I was on the next avenue along, we didn't even realise anything had happened until word got round and suddenly the police presence was huge.
