I am sitting here is tears yet again as I have just opened the door to a lovely bouquet of flowers from my vet with a lovely card to both of us just saying Best Wishes.

They are really lovely people who I have used for getting on for nearly thirteen years now. Stuart my vet knows how much I love my girls and how really upsetting it has been for me since Moose fell ill and then having to have to put her to sleep on Saturday so quickly. He knew all about the rough time we have been having with Mike and his broken leg as we always go together and also my daughter being in hospital as well.It is such a lovely gesture to know they realise how hard it was to loose Moose like that and knowing that not all vets are money grabbing or thoughtless as we sometimes hear on here.

Oh Lucy, so sorry for your loss.  It's good to have such nice people caring for your pets.

How kind of them, they must be really caring to go that extra mile. I think we all complain from time to time and sometimes forget that our vets are human with feelings too. I know my old vet was absolutely lovely when I lost my girl and as they had been so involved with the intensive treatment they were also upset that we had not been able to change the outcome.

I do so hope that things get better for you soon.

What a kind thought, very heartwarming. Good to know that many of us do have decent, caring vets. Hope you are doing OK and that your vet's kind thought helped a bit today.

I'm really sorry about Moose, Lucy - I didn't see your update on the previous thread about her being poorly :-(

My vet sent me flowers when Dexter died, it was a really kind gesture (funnily enough, they are the only flowers that have every been sent to me!!).  It did give me a little comfort to know his life meant something to them too... starting to cry myself now!

Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time xxx

What a lovely man :)  Despite the tears I hope that has given you the lift that you need just now and thoroughly deserve.
