hi,can anyone give me details of what is expected of someone to obtain a breeders licence.how do you go about it?.i have not got a clue.HELP!

Hi, get in touch with your County Council and ask them, it may involve the local Dog Warden. they will tell you what is required, as I think it varies from county to county.

Hi, acutally it is the Local Authority, not the County Council who deal with licenc applications. Each one can set own guidelines, but they now have a framework to work within, and a lot use the "model kennel" paper to lay down the requirments. Some are a lot tighter than others, and some a lot more knowledgable than others. The change in the Law recently put a few more essential into the requirments, such as minimum breeding age, amx. number of litters, frequency of litters etc.
