Boston and District will be my new puppies first show, but because there's no classes for Giants, I've entered him for the A.V.N.S.C. puppy dog. If [a big if of course] he wins his class, will he qualify for Crufts 2012 or can you only qualify from breed classes? Thanks for your help ;)

Sorry just breed classes that have CCs on offer or win BPIS

It is possible to qualify for Crufts from AVNSC. 1st 2nd and 3rd in the usual classes.

However the breed must not have CC's available to them at all. So that means that all the breeds on the Rare breeds register and (I believe) also the Import Register. My daughters Bracco Italiano can qualify from breed classes, and also from AVNSC.

Before we had CC's in our breed we could qualify from AVNSC (1st - 3rd).  Those were the days!!

Some Premier Shows offer a qualification for BOB's in some breeds, but these are always written in the schedule...

I've got Giant Schnauzers so it sounds like he won't be able to qualify even if he won. Well, there's always next year and by that time he'll have more experience as well.
He was born 2 weeks too late to enter him for LKA :(

Just a thought.. what would happen if he won the BPIS? He could if he won his class?

Think and remember only think that that would qualify him it would if you won BIS at an Premier show so I think the same would apply but I am not sure if it includes the Best Puppy - someone will though and hopefully post and sort me out.

BPIS at all breed and group open shows qualify -but not at championship shows.

Thanks ladies. I need to tell my friends mother the bad news cause she entered her Sealyham Terrier puppy for the A.V.N.S.C. bitch puppy class and was really exited cause she thought she might have a chance to qualify her :(
