Well thought I would ask champdoggers if there was an answer to this problem! I had my friends chi x lasso apso stay for a week while they went on hols he is about a year old..he stayed with us and my BMD whom he made sure he was the boss off .. since he has gone home he has been messing in the house .. she asked me my routine and has stuck to this as per walking and feeding we had no trouble with his toilet or anything like this while he was with us ..surely it can not be because she left him to go on holiday.. I must admit I did not fuss him too much cause he was a bit dependant and clingy which I'm not used too but after about 4 days he became a bit more independent and would settle in another room while I did something. Any answers?

He is just feeling unsettled so will hopefully settle down after being back in his normal routine :-)

Yes sometimes takes a little while to settle down :-)

Make sure they are not telling the dog off as he will see it as positive reinforcement if his behaviour :-)

Your friends will probably have to be extra vigilant for a while, like they would with a puppy, and let him out often. I suppose he's otherwise healthy is he?
