I bought a large box of clementines today for £2.50 :-) Trouble is, as im munching my way through the box one of my boys has taken a real liking to them! He's going mad for them! He's had a few segments. Will they do him any harm?

No :) But with all things, don't give him too much :) A few segments would be fine :)

Thanks for that guys! Not sure if he really does like them or it's a case of no one else is having any! Either way his face is a picture watching him eat them!

My old boy used to love them - but only when he was 'helping' me eat them.  He'd eat quite a lot of odd things on a 'sharing' basis.  Give him one for his very own, and he'd look at it with a 'Yeah, and?' look on his face and stalk away.  When he was young, he used to love bananas, too, so much in fact that they were his high value training treat.

Mine did well on the Pears this year, and no digestive upsets like they can get with the more acidic windfall apples.

My old girl was fond of banana, apple and pear and all of my dogs will chew on raw carrot, my old long gone sheltie would pinch spuds when I was lifting them from the garden, I used to have to chase the silly old devil to get them back, none of them have been too keen on clementines though, I always thought dogs weren't too keen on citrus.

My lad loved cucumber and lettuce (had to be crisp lettuce, though), when I had a salad, he had to have one, too. (Not that he was in anyway spoiled of course. ;-) And broccoli stems as well as carrots.  He also picked his own strawberries, very delicately with his front teeth.

He would only eat clementines and other orange-type citrus when I was eating them - usually I had to take a bite of a segment and give him the rest of it.  He probably had a quarter of the fruit (shockingly over-indulged hound!).
