Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Home made dog treats - suggestions/ideas please!

I'm hoping to make some home made treats for my lot that will store well for a week perhaps in their cookie jar. I'd like to include minced meat, veg, eggs & yoghurt. Does anyone have any recipes they wouldn't mind sharing? Would a cooked meat treat, thoroughly dried in the oven store well for a week? Would it still offer any nourishment for them? Sorry if it sounds like a daft question.
They are all fed on raw meat/offal & veg and are doing very well on it. I'm assuming raw and cooked meat eaten together (on the same day) won't do them any harm, although i could be wrong. Hence me asking you guys! :-)

Try this site for a variety of treats http://www.bullwrinkle.com/Assets/Recipes/Recipes.htm the Muttloaf recipe might be the sort of thing your looking for, I've tried the Newf Breakfast Bars and they went down a storm with my dogs ( my friends horse went mad for them too lol ).
I've often fed raw and cooked meat on the same day and never had any trouble, but mine do have quite robust constitutions.

Snap !, after looking at that site again I took a notion to making the Breakfast Bars again.
Let me know how your ones turn out.

I made the Peanut butter dog biscuits. Two baking trays full! They went down a storm. Had some doggy guests visit later in the day (they must have smelt them cooking) and now they've all gone! My lot followed me about the whole time while they were cooking. A definite favourite here!
How did the breakfast bars turn out?

Brekki Bars turned out to be a hit too, it makes loads, I had to half the ingredients and it still made tons. I think they'd be really handy to take on a long trip if it wasn't convenient to feed a full meal, a couple of slices of this would keep a dog going.
