Has anyone heard of this???
I have had a few requests to join it, but never heard of it and know nothing about it!!!
The latest one is from someone I know, but havnt got round to asking him if it is legit!!! (I think it is as he used my full name in the request)
But what is it all about???

It's a 'professional' social networking site.  Like Facebook but more to share professional info.

Im on there, I dont receive any emails from them only if someone wants to "link up" with me.

LinkedIn is useful for keeping in touch with colleagues, but lately it has begin to deluge me with dozens of "you are now connected to..."--I daresay there is a reason for it, but the fact that I am still living in ignorance perhaps demonstrates just how vital this is to my professional life. Some of the updates I see rival twitter for sheer banality. I guess the moral of the story is (as with everything else) be selective in your connections.

On a practical note, the free service is pretty average. I haven't felt inspired to pay for a subscription.

I am on and it is very useful if you use it in certains ways.

I have a combination of collegues from previous clients I have worked with and also agencies who I get clients through so very good to do searches for people I am after to get onto my Projects and also when I am on the look out for new contracts.

I very rarely get spam requests but if you don't know the people you just ignore them :-)
