Anyone seen the KC press release about the Special meeting in November proposing a change in the structure to become a Ltd company?  I seem to remember in the dim and distant past whenever the subject of opening up the membership was under discussion that the KC line was that it's constitution did not allow for any changes in it''s format.  This seems like a pretty big change!

Wonder if that was waht gave them the idea.  Was the GCCF a similar structure to the KC before?

Yes, pretty similar. No members at all, not even a set number, it's clubs affiliated to it. The GCCF organise one show and that is the Supreme that you have to qualify for, so the basics all much the same. I know the KC and GCCF do have a fair bit of contact as they sometimes discuss things, and in the past there has been a GCCF stand at Crufts and a KC one at the Supreme, although not in recent years.
