I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY HOW SORRY I AM TO THE FAMILY OF MARK LINGARD WHO PASSED AWAY THE OTHER DAY. HE WAS WITHOUT DOUBT THE BEST VET I HAVE EVER MET. SOME OF YOU WILL KNOW HIM FROM MOY FARM VETS IN OUT RAWCLIFFE, HE WAS FAMOUSE FOR BEING ABLE TO TELL YOU YOUR DOGS HIP SCORE RESULTS EVEN BEFORE THEY WERE SENT OFF TO THE B.V.A AND I KNOW MANY OF YOU HAVE USED HIM BEFORE.
R.I.P. MARK

Sorry to hear this, although I only hip scored there once I did used to see his wife for acupuncture. I had heard he was ill so am very sorry for his family.

So sorry to hear this sad news, we also went there to have our youngest hip scored and were so impressed by all at Moy Farm Vets.
Oh my.....I was going to go to him for my boys scores in december, he did my girl last year and I was over the moon with how fast and fantastic he was.
He got my girl's hip scores 100% correct.
What a loss.
This is the local vets i have had recommendations about hip scoring wise. hope he taught someone his trade before parting.

When he first became ill I was asked to reassure people that it was the nursing staff that positioned the dogs for the x-rays, not Mark, and that they will continue to give the same excellent service. The only difference being was that people would have to wait for the results.
My sympathies to his family.

His wife Michelle did my dog's hips earlier this year and checked with Mark before telling me what they thought the scores would be--in this case while the scores were still very good and well below breed average they were higher than they had suggested--just one of those things. I wouldn't hesitate to take my dogs to Michelle or to ask her for her opinion on their hips.
Mark was so good at reading the hip scores because he used to be on the actual pannel on the b.v.a he was never wrong with any of my dogs, but i don't know if he learnt it to michelle or not but hopfully he did. He was also the best horse vet you will ever meet too. I really feel for michelle and his young kiddies.
Thankyou for your lovely kind comments about Mark.I am Mark's wife, Michelle. I just wanted to put everyone's mind at rest that Mark spent 18months making sure that my xray reading skills for hips and elbows were nearly as good as his! Mark was passionate about providing the BVA service and wanted me to continue it in his memory. My team of nurses and myself will continue to provide the same quality service that we have been since Mark was first diagnosed with his brain tumor and I would be very appreciative if you could tell other breeders that we will be continuing Mark's good work. Details are on our website moyfarmvets.co.uk.

Hello Michelle, I have been busy recommending your practice to everyone I meet ever since we came to you earlier this year and that won't change--I was so grateful to you for chasing me up with the indicative score (despite the invention of the mobile phone it is still surprisingly difficult to remain in contact), providing an objective overview of the confirmed score and explaining the BVA scoring process to me--and of course the distance people travel to come to you speaks for itself. Thank you again and best wishes, Judy

So very sorry to Michelle and family of Mark, plus all at Moy Farm. I had my young dog hip and elbow scored last year and could not fault anything at all. Predictions for scores were spot on. A very sad loss.
