I have been reading some of the old posts on Colitis in an effort to help my 12 year old Welsh springer Spaniel over a bout of this condition. Her diet is Naturdiet and fresh cooked chicken. She has just completed a 10 day course of Metranidazole but it does not seem to agree with her. She seems depressed and a bit giddy. She has not been sick but my guess is that she has nausea. Scarlet is blind so i am thinking that sickness could make her a bit dizzy? The medication cleared up the condition quite quickly but I am more interested in her reaction to it? Anyone else has experience of this?

Metronidazole is well documented to cause nausea in humans, so wouldn't be surprised if that is what is going on.
