I didn't know where to put this as it's not health, maybe behavioural? Anyway, my entire male dog has been paying a lot of attention to one of the girls lately. He can't be near her without trying to mount her. For no reason. She had a season about 2 months ago and is not showing any signs of season or flagging or anything, in fact, she blatently ignores the fact that this dog exists never mind lives with her!! Only thing that I found when I checked her was her anal glands were a bit full and stinky when expresses(normal!!). I don't understand why he finds her so attractive these days? He has just been put outside again for his 'behaviour'! I can't keep secluding him from the family but he needs to control his 'feelings'!!
Any thoughts?
Edited to add, He is 8 months large breed and has lived with us for 3 months now. The bitch he is tormenting is the second in command from the top bitch. He totally respects the top bitch but this bitch played with him for the first time at the weekend and since then, he is getting over-excited near her but she now isn't putting him in his place. Help please!! He was a rescue with little confidence but it is growing by the day, as is he!
