Hi My terrier has never never been a greedy or food orientated girl, in fact when she was a pup up until about 18 mths -2 yrs she was very fussy and getting her to put weight on was was tricky. Two litters down the line and spayed in May things have changed. In the past month to 6 weeks she has got so foodie, licks & licks her bowl plus the other dogs all round the kitchen after her dinner and if we eat anything on the sofa she jumps up and is virtually trying to take the food from our hands and mouth! This is a dog that does not like fuss or cuddles and rarely sits with you, wants to be on the floor by herself, so to have her jump up and be treading on you to get to food is odd.
She has been wormed recently, eats a raw diet, not different in any other way than her total view on food and has filled out. Could this be down to the spaying??

One of mine went like this weeks after being spayed. I started to become suspicious when the area shaved for the surgery didn't fill in with new coat quickly, asked for a blood test and sure enough she had suddenly become hypothyroid. So don't take it for granted it is just the fact she has been spayed.

Thanks, might chat to the vet about it then. Hadn't thought about thyroid.
