I posted earlier about my bitch lady bits was still swollen after mating like she was still in season first mating 29 th july and second mating 30 th july it's still swollen but there's no other signs no weight gain in fact she seems skinnier I'm wondering do their bits stay swollen if they're having a phantom or could it be she's going to have her season again like a split heat but the thing is she came in to season the usual way for 3 weeks I just read about split heats in my book of the bitch and it seems to be a bitch comes in to season bleeds for a short while like a few days and then stop and then come in another 2 weeks time or so please can anyone help me here I'm totally confused here and I appreciate all your help you can give thanks

The phantoms my bitch has had post mating have lasted up to 7weeks, on one occasion when both girls had been mated 3days apart the one having the phantom looked more pregnant than the one who went on to have pups.

Each time the phantom has returned to normal literally over night.

It is normal for the vulva and nipples to stay more swollen for about 4 weeks post season ending.
