Does anybody else notice a change in toilet behaviour in their girls prior to season and no I don't mean all of the extra squatting and scent marking stuff?

I mean around the house, a well toilet trained girl starts to wee and poo over night when normally she wouldn't.

As it's not an everyday occurance I tend to brush it away, well pick up mop and scrub actually :) but it's crossed my mind that just as I'm thinking there's a season on the way I'm coming downstairs to accidents in the kitchen.

I've got 5 girls, 3 spayed and 2 entire, they're both 3yrs and season around the same time, I used to think it was the oldies having an accident but I think now that it's the young girls a week or so before their season is due to start.

Luckily we're stone tiled throughout :)

Yes I have noticed this over the years, I think it's like us when pregnant the hormones make us produce more urine than normal and they suddenly can't last as long and have an accident.

My bitch always pees in the house when in season, only in rooms she's not allowed in normally, like other people's bedrooms.

I figure they maybe get stomach cramps like us and don't know how what's wrong.  You know, like they think they need the toilet but it's cramping from the season coming.  My girls are the same for a week or so before hand.

I must be lucky then. my 8 month Gsd is now in her second week and and is very clean, she does pee in small amounts more often but she is keeping herself clean, just have to stop the sloppy kisses that she wants to give me at the moment.
