getting talked in to showing my pointer at champ shows ,so entered scotish pointer club bred champ show in oct and looking to do gundog ass of scotland champ show in nov am newbie to ahowing we are going to ring craft every week and have few open shows just hope hector mad pointer and i have enough experince for champ level

Good for you entering these shows, I'm sure you'll have a great time and be bitten by the bug - before you know it you'll be showing every single weekend :-)

Go for it. At my first champ show my golden retriever won her class and my handling was absolutely rubbish. Looking back I feel embarrassed at how bad I was. You really can't do a worse job than I did.

My friend shows Pointers, if I had more energy I think I would have one, just love them.

I will be at GBAS. Three years on I am still a total novice, but I see it as an Apprenticeship and the only way to improve is to keep going, watching and listening to advice. At the end of the day I wouldn't swap my girl for anything in the world, I look at it as a nice day out with like minded people.

Good luck in Oct, my friend will be there with her crazy youngster who has four springs under he paws. Hopefully I might see you in Nov as I always have a nosey at the Pointers.

were out nearly every weekend love showing and deff would be back showing horses again,hector my pointer is like tigger at times he is always up to something and in trouble all time but we love him to bits
